Proposed design for multibrand store in Cairo. Multi brand store is a modern boutique, offering global brands in an inviting atmosphere. Store design is increasingly important for luxury brands as a delightful and unique store experience has the ability to increase the number of customers. The store is a physical representation of the merchandise itself, therefore luxury brands shops should aim to uphold the same qualities in their store design as producers do with their products.
The sales area is organized into half opened display rooms. Laminated glass with fabric interlayer which frames the shelf elements create private spaces for the various brands and collections, while the texture of the semi-transparent elements allows a glimpse of what lies beyond. Flexible fixtures are neutral in finish, modular and multifunctional. Indirect lighting creates a luminous glow within the elegant environment. Wood and glass nesting tables add visual interest to product focals, while frameless glass cases help customers focus on the merchandise. The transparency of these cases engages the customer, while highlighting the merchandise. Backlight display boxes frame the accessories collections and provide contrast to the textured background. An elegant color scheme of copper brown and grey with a neutral floor is understated, while the old gold brings in a elegant and luxurious design element. The store’s overall “sophisticated luxury” design concept redefines expectations and challenges the definition of what is precious.
